Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Takt ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of the App

Takt is a recurring-event and interval tracker for iPhone with companion Apple-platform surfaces. It is designed to help you track repeated habits, tasks, and routines with event history, reminders, heatmaps, widgets, Apple Watch support, optional private iCloud sync, and optional Pro features.

• Platform: iOS 17 or later
• Companion support: Apple Watch and widget surfaces where available
• Data model: local-first event and history tracking

3. Free Tier and Takt Pro

Takt includes a free tier and optional Takt Pro unlock.

• Free tier: up to three active events
• Takt Pro: unlimited active events, deeper per-event insights, share cards, widgets, Apple Watch support, daily reminders, and Shortcuts access where offered by the app

All paid plans unlock the same Takt Pro feature set. The difference between plans is billing cadence only.

5. Renewals, Cancellation, and Restore

• Monthly and Annual subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period
• If an introductory free trial is offered for Annual, billing starts after the trial period unless you cancel before it ends
• You can manage or cancel subscriptions in App Store subscription settings
• Lifetime is a one-time purchase and does not renew
• Restore Purchases uses Apple-managed purchase restoration and does not create duplicate charges

6. Payments and Refunds

• All payments are processed by Apple through StoreKit
• The developer does not receive your card number or billing credentials
• Refund requests must be handled through Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com

7. App Provided "As Is"

Takt is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. The developer does not guarantee uninterrupted availability, freedom from bugs, or compatibility with all future iOS and watchOS versions.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App
• Use the App in a way that violates applicable law
• Interfere with the App's intended functionality or other Apple-platform services it depends on
• Misrepresent the App, its branding, or its ownership

9. Data and iCloud

Takt is local-first. If you enable iCloud Sync, Apple may synchronize your app data through your private iCloud container. Your use of optional iCloud features is also subject to Apple's iCloud and Apple ID terms.

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how Takt stores and handles your data.

10. Apple Terms

When relevant, your use of the App is also subject to Apple's terms and policies, including:

• Apple Standard EULA
• Apple Privacy Policy
• Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developer shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of Takt, including data loss, downtime, or billing disputes handled by Apple.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. If you are a consumer in the EU, you may also have rights under the mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence.

13. Changes to These Terms

These Terms may be updated from time to time. The current version is always available at ios.dnesdan.cz/takt/terms-of-use. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
