1. Overview
Takt is built around a simple rule: your interval history belongs to you. This Privacy Policy explains what data the app stores, where it lives, how optional sync works, and how purchases are handled.
2. Data Takt Uses
Takt works with the data you create inside the app, including:
- Events and recurring items — titles, icons, categories, notes, scheduling windows, and reminder settings
- History entries — completion timestamps and optional notes you add to a log
- App preferences — appearance, onboarding state, sort mode, iCloud sync setting, and similar local preferences
- Purchase state — whether Takt Pro is unlocked on your device via Apple StoreKit verification
Takt does not require your name, email address, a profile, or a login. The developer does not collect personal identity data from inside the app.
3. Where Your Data Is Stored
The primary app database lives in the app's shared container so widgets and companion surfaces can access the same state.
- On-device SwiftData store — your events and history are stored locally on your device
- App Group shared storage — selected shared values are available to widgets, Apple Watch surfaces, and related Apple-platform integrations
- Optional private iCloud sync — if you enable iCloud Sync in Settings, Takt uses Apple's private CloudKit storage tied to your own iCloud account
If iCloud Sync is disabled, data stays on-device only. If enabled, Apple may synchronize the same app data through your private iCloud container. The developer does not operate or access a separate copy of that database.
4. Notifications, Widgets, Apple Watch, and Shortcuts
- Notifications are scheduled locally on your device using Apple's notification framework
- Widgets read shared app state from Apple-managed local containers
- Apple Watch and Shortcuts use Apple platform frameworks to surface your own event data faster
These features are part of the Apple platform integration. They do not create a custom developer cloud profile for your data.
5. CSV Import and Export
Takt lets you export your own events and logs as CSV files, and import compatible CSV data back in. Those files are under your control and can contain the content you entered into the app. Imported and exported files are not uploaded to the developer by Takt.
6. Purchases
- Takt Pro purchases are processed by Apple through StoreKit 2
- The developer never receives your credit card details or billing credentials
- Purchase verification and restore behavior rely on Apple-managed transaction records
7. Third-Party Services
The app does not use Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, Facebook SDKs, advertising networks, crash-reporting SaaS products, or custom telemetry services. The only network-related services involved are Apple services required for App Store purchases and optional private iCloud sync if you enable it.
8. Data Sharing
- No ad targeting or cross-app tracking
- No sale of personal data
- No developer-operated account system for your event history
- No transmission of your event history to third-party analytics providers
9. Your Controls
- Turn iCloud Sync on or off in Takt Settings
- Delete events or clear all data from inside the app
- Export your data as CSV before major cleanup
- Delete the app to remove local app data from your device
10. Data Retention
Takt keeps data for as long as it remains in your local app store or in your private iCloud storage if you enable sync. You control retention by deleting events, clearing history, disabling sync, exporting or removing CSV files under your control, or deleting the app.
11. Changes to This Policy
If this Privacy Policy changes, the "Last Updated" date above will be revised. Significant changes may also be reflected in app update notes. The current version of this policy is available at ios.dnesdan.cz/takt/privacy-policy.
