Effective date: October 5, 2026
Avunio is a medication reminder and record-keeping app for iOS and Android. It works without an account. Your medication records remain on your device unless you choose to export or share them.
Who provides the app
Dan Urbánek provides Avunio. For privacy questions or requests concerning information you send to us, email dan.urbanek.dev@gmail.com.
Information stored on your device
The local app database stores the profiles you create (including names and icons), medication names and dose text, reminder plans and schedules, and dose history, including taken, skipped, pending and snoozed records and their timestamps. App preferences are also stored locally. These records can contain sensitive health information. Enter only information you are entitled to manage, including when maintaining reminders for another person.
Avunio does not upload this database to a developer-operated service. There is no account, developer cloud sync, advertising or analytics in the app.
Local notifications and widgets
With your permission, the app schedules notifications through your operating system. Widgets use an on-device snapshot of reminder information. Notification and widget content may be visible on your lock screen or home screen and may be presented by system features on connected devices. You can control notification permissions, whether notifications show medication details, and widget placement in the app and system settings.
Manual backup and restore
You may export a JSON backup using the system file picker or sharing interface and later select a file to restore. The backup contains profiles, plans, history and settings and is not encrypted by Avunio. Anyone able to read the file may read its contents. Keep it in a secure location and do not send it to us unless you deliberately choose to share it.
You choose the destination, which may be local storage or a third-party file or cloud provider. That provider processes the file under its own terms and privacy policy. Export is not automatic app cloud sync. Device backups, transfers and operating-system services may also handle app data according to your system settings and the provider's policies.
Opening these legal pages
The in-app legal viewer requests pages from ios.dnesdan.cz over HTTPS. It does not attach your profiles, medication plans, history or backup files. Like other website visits, requests disclose network information such as your IP address and requested page to the website and its hosting infrastructure. This information is used to deliver and secure the website. This policy does not specify a fixed server-log retention period; contact us for questions about website request data.
Support messages
If you email us, your email address, message and any attachments you choose to send are processed to answer your request and resolve the issue. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in providing support and maintaining the app, or handling your request where necessary for our relationship with you. Avoid sending medication or health information unless it is necessary. Email services process messages under their own policies. We keep support correspondence only as needed to handle support, maintain relevant records or meet legal obligations.
Your choices and rights
You can edit profiles and plans, manage notification settings, export a backup and remove local app data through device controls. Uninstalling or clearing app storage does not delete copies you exported or backups held by another provider; manage those separately. Removing a reminder plan does not necessarily remove its existing history.
We cannot remotely access or correct your local medication database. For personal information we do receive, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability, and object to processing, as applicable under data-protection law. You may also complain to your competent data-protection authority. These rights may be subject to lawful limits. Contact us using the address above.
Changes
We will update this page when app behavior or this policy changes and revise the effective date. Consult the policy before sharing an exported backup or sensitive information.
