Privacy Policy

1. Overview

SnoreStop is an iOS app designed to help users reduce snoring through daily throat and tongue exercises. The app tracks your exercise sessions and progress locally on your device. Built on a privacy-first principle, your exercise data stays on your device by default—nothing leaves your iPhone without your consent.

2. Data We Collect

Exercise Session Data (Local Only)

• Exercise completion records — dates and times of completed exercises
• Exercise duration — how long each session lasted
• Progress metrics — streak information and personal statistics
• All stored locally on your device — never transmitted to any server

TelemetryDeck Anonymous Analytics (Optional)

• SHA-256 hashed device ID — irreversible hash, cannot be reversed to identify you
• No personal data — no name, email, location, IP address, or exercise details
• Opt-out available — toggle in Settings > Privacy > Anonymous Analytics

Microphone & Motion Data (Development Feature - Currently Disabled)

SnoreStop is being developed with optional sleep monitoring features (microphone for snoring detection, motion sensors for sleep tracking). These features are currently disabled and not active. When enabled in future versions:

• Microphone access: Optional permission for sleep monitoring (if enabled, audio is processed locally only)
• Motion sensors: Optional access to detect sleep patterns (processed locally)
• No transmission: Audio and motion data would be processed on-device only
• User control: Can be disabled anytime in iOS Settings

3. Local Storage

SnoreStop stores the following data locally on your device only:

SwiftData (On-Device Database)

• Exercise session history and completion records
• Personal statistics and progress tracking
• Exercise streak information

UserDefaults

• App preferences and settings
• User-selected exercise difficulty
• Notification preferences

Keychain

• Premium subscription status — cryptographically secured

All data protected by iOS encryption. Deleted automatically when you uninstall the app.

4. Anonymous Analytics (TelemetryDeck)

SnoreStop uses TelemetryDeck for optional anonymous usage analytics to understand how the app is used and improve features.

Data We Send (If Enabled)

• Hashed anonymous device ID (SHA-256, cryptographically irreversible)
• App version — which version you're running
• iOS version — system version for compatibility insights
• Locale — language setting only (no location)
• Event type — e.g., 'ExerciseCompleted', 'SettingsChanged' (no exercise data included)

Data We Do NOT Send

• ❌ Personal data (name, email, phone, birthdate)
• ❌ Exercise data (specific exercises, duration, or timing)
• ❌ Health data (audio recordings, motion data, snoring information)
• ❌ Location data (GPS, city, country)
• ❌ IP address
• ❌ Device identifiers (IDFA, IDFV)

Your Control

Disable anonymous analytics anytime in Settings > Privacy > Anonymous Analytics. TelemetryDeck's privacy policy: telemetrydeck.com/privacy

5. In-App Purchases & Premium Subscriptions

• StoreKit 2 — Apple processes all payments securely
• We never see payment info — credit card details handled entirely by Apple
• Premium status stored locally in Keychain on your device
• Plans available: Monthly, Yearly, and Lifetime subscriptions

The app does not include:

• ❌ Facebook SDK or Meta services
• ❌ Advertising SDKs or ad networks
• ❌ Crash reporting services (Crashlytics, Sentry, Bugsnag)
• ❌ Social media integrations

8. Data Sharing

• No personal data is collected from your device by us
• No exercise data is transmitted to any server
• No data is sold or shared with third parties
• TelemetryDeck receives only anonymous hashed signals (cannot be reversed)

9. Children's Privacy

SnoreStop is rated 4+ in the App Store. The app collects no personal identifying information from any user, including children. Exercise data is stored locally only. The app complies with COPPA and equivalent child privacy regulations worldwide.

10. Your Rights

GDPR (European Users)

• Right of access: Your exercise data lives on your device, under your complete control. No personal data is held by us on external servers.
• Right to deletion: Uninstall the app to delete all local data. All exercise history is permanently removed.
• Right to portability: Your exercise data stays on your device and under your control.
• Right to object: Disable analytics in Settings anytime.

CCPA (California Users)

• We do not sell personal data
• We do not share personal data with third parties for advertising purposes
• Opt-out of analytics in Settings > Privacy > Anonymous Analytics

Deleting Your Data

To delete all SnoreStop data: uninstall the app. All local storage, exercise history, and preferences are permanently removed from your device.

11. Changes to This Policy

If we update this Privacy Policy, we will update the "Last Updated" date above and notify users via app update release notes if changes are significant. The current version is always available at ios.dnesdan.cz/snorestop/privacy.

Apple Frameworks Used

• SwiftData: Local on-device database for exercise history (no network access)
• StoreKit 2: In-app purchase processing handled entirely by Apple
• UserNotifications: Local notifications for exercise reminders
• AVFoundation: Microphone access for future sleep monitoring feature (currently disabled)
• CoreMotion: Motion sensor access for future sleep tracking feature (currently disabled)

Data Retention

• Exercise data: Stored locally until you uninstall the app
• Analytics data: Sent to TelemetryDeck only if analytics enabled; retention governed by TelemetryDeck's policy

Security

• All data processing happens on-device
• No network connections for exercise data
• Data protected by iOS device encryption
• Premium status secured in Keychain
• No user accounts or authentication required
