How to play Slitherlink
Draw one closed loop along the dot grid so that every number is matched.
The rules
- One loop. Join neighbouring dots into a single closed loop. It never branches, crosses itself or stops, so every dot it visits has exactly two lines.
- Match the numbers. A number counts the loop edges around its cell. A 0 means none.
- Blank cells are free. A cell without a number can have any number of loop edges.
First moves
- Cross out all four edges of every 0.
- A 3 beside a 0 takes its other three edges.
- Two 3s side by side: the edge between them and the far edge of each belong to the loop.
